Description:  Located in Central Maui, Ioa Valley State park is a serene 4,000 acre, 10-mile long park. Home to one of Maui's most famous landmarks, the 1,200-foot Iao Needle. This green-mantled rock overlooks Iao stream and is a major attraction for hikers and sightseers.

The lush botanical gardens of Iao Valley State Park are laced with paved pathways to explore, and plenty of places to sit and take in the beautiful views. These gardens feature native Hawaiian plants as well as a scenic lookout of the famous Iao Needle.
