| The FBI is releasing surveillance pictures from a bank robbery on Maui on Wednesday evening with the hope someone will recognize one of the three suspects and identify them for agents.
The holdup happened around 7:30 p.m. in the Island National Bank branch, at 6399 W Commercial Blvd. This particular branch is considered by bank officials to be the financial hub for all large monetary sums being distributed to the island.
Local police have not yet released official details on the bank robbery at the Island National Bank in West Maui. Three suspects entered the bank during a monthly audit and killed two security team members and three bank staff before making off with reported hundreds of thousands of dollars. It is still unclear who is responsible and police have yet to release particulars about possible suspects.
Our news team reported that the Island National Bank will remained closed until the end of the week. On site reports have said that the thieves used the blood of the murdered security officers to paint the words Bernadette and Roy on the glass doors of the building.
It is still unclear what these words mean but we were able to interview a woman at the bank that suggested that it might be some sort of reference to a modern day Bonnie and Clyde. Police are still looking into the matter.
Security tapes from the bank have provided little evident. The tapes seem to be recording properly but seem to not clearly define the thefts as they entered and exited the bank. It has been suggested that they used latex masks to disguise themselves. The only lead is an eyewitness sketch of one of the thieves. Police have requested that anyone seeing a person that fits the description of the character drawing should report that information to Police immediately.
